As Nigeria’s first airport, the existing international terminal in Kano has undergone a largely uncoordinated development and expansion over the years, producing a building that is not optimized in its operation and is not fully compliant with the standards of the International Civil Aviation Organization.

IDEA was commissioned by the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria to develop a modern airport terminal building that fully complies with the requirements of the International Civil Aviation Organization in enhancing user experiences, while at the same time increasing operational efficiency and improving security.

The Project involves the construction of a completely new structure, complete with associated equipment, services, facilities and infrastructure.
