The design of the Sohar Women and Children’s hospital focuses on creating a five star experience for its patients (guests). The operational requirements were met in the design of the physical building while also providing an excellent experience for guests and visitors. In designing this IDEA borrowed many of the approaches traditionally associated with the design of hotel environments to greatly improve the quality experience of the healthcare project.
