Project Type: Government Offices
Client: Federal Government of Nigeria
Construction Area: 10,330 sqm
“The architecture is transparent but at the same time civic, creating a space that is formal yet human in scale and inviting to the public and visitors.”
The architectural design concept for these government buildings was inspired by the notion of supporting the democratic process in Nigeria. This is achieved by making the internal workings of the Government clear, open and transparent to government members, administrators and member of the public alike.
The project provides a setting that is perfectly suited to the stately function of the National Assembly Service Commission by maintaining the sense of grandeur and scale established by the surrounding parliament buildings.
In order to support the idea of an architecture that is transparent but at the same time civic, the project is designed to be highly formal yet equally human in scale and inviting to the public and visitors.
